Women in the Second World War
Below is a selection of photographs featuring both British and American women who were here in Norfolk and Suffolk during the Second World War.
Many of these images, taken from our digital archive, show women serving with the American Women's Army Corps - the women's branch of the US Army.
Nearly 40,000 American women served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) as Army Air Force personnel.
